Co-worker Toilet Problem?

I work in a small office and share a washroom with the boss and one co-worker. This co-worker (a grown man) is leaving a "skid mark" on the toilet seat every single day. It's gross and I have to clean it before I use it. That's bad enough...but most importantly, I don't want the boss to think it is me. Should I tell the boss? (BTW - I know it isn't the boss, because it was happening when the boss was away).

Oh my God how funny is this!!! You just made my day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (now the whole office is looking at me and wondering why I am laughing - the truth that I'm not doing any work is OUT because of you.

no, tell the loser that's doing it to leave the skid marks in his underwear where they belong....

tell your fellow employee to clean up after himself. if no response then bring him in there and show him the skid marks and ask if he would like to sit down on that.

in such cases the HR department is the correct body to whom you must approach. Its really annoying to have such experiences.

If there is no HR department, tell your boos provided he keeps it confidential.

This is one of those "touchy" situations where nothing is going to work EXCEPT going to the boss.

I would start out with, " this is a very touchy subject but I have to talk to you about it."

I would let him know that I don't want to clean the toilet every time I use it. That is a good way to contact a nasty virus. You could even mention that you are anal (ha ha, talk about a pun) about washing your hands. You don't want to get sick and miss work. (Good point there with the boss)

Its hard to deal with this kind of problem because no body wants to hurt any body's feeling. You can even tell that person too but in humorous manner.

Ask him if the janitor is missing cleaning the commode! That's as bad as women leaving the toilet ring down and splashing it and not cleaning it up. It always amazed me because all they have to do is pick it up!!! Oh well, I guess guys have problems too!!

I make my boss use another bathroom because he does the same thing!!!! lol!

Yes, you read it right...I make him! lol....I tell him that he always smells up mine...I didn't mention the skid marks. lol

Put a sign up in the bathroom "to clean up after yourself"...

Thats nasty.
1. Next time it happens you could say to the boss, "Hey Boss Man!! Come here! Look at this! Be open about it.
2. You could follow your coworker around with a can of lysol and spray everything he touches.

I recently started having roommates and I have the same problem. I talked with them and it stopped but recently I have been finding those nicotine marks on the toilet seat again. Common courtesy and personal hygiene is not common. Talk with the guy, if it doesn't work, speak with your boss. Good luck.

why not make a sign that says Skid marks are for the race track only Clean up after yourself!

Next time just tell your co-worker loud enough for your boss to hear " You left a skid mark again on the toilet seat.I麓m not going to clean after you every single day"
