I am having difficulty at work. Should I quit?

I recently moved to a different office within my company and have been unhappy with the move. The office that I moved from was great, I got along great with everyone. Only I questioned their professionalism. Where I'm at now, I feel generally disliked. I feel very uncomfortable in my current environment due to a vibe I get from everyone who I share this new office with. Should I move back to my old office or should I tough it out with the new, more professional, but socially isolating workspace?

that is really up to you but do you know why they are treating you like this? I am sure there is a logical explanation... They may have lost a great colleague and you are now there instead.... They may think that since you work for the company that you are now the company snitch...

I would seek the answers first to why if you still feel uncomfortable then leave to go back to the old stuff

are you there for the friends or for the job? which job new or past is better for you? where do you want to be. dont make decisions based on what others do. what do you want?

You go work not make friends . Be polte act like a pro.

You don't say how long you've been at the new office.

I'd say give it some time, at least six months, maybe up to a year.

I'm in a somewhat similar situation: recently (seven months ago) switched to an entirely new company, new industry. So far I'm not particularly fond of it. Some days are okay, some are pretty bad. But I'm trying to give it a full year before I go somewhere else.

If you move back too soon, you may look wishy-washy. Also, you may, in the future, regret moving back.

My take is this: if you're questioning it, then you're not ready to switch back. I think you'll know for sure what you need to do when the time comes. For now, try not to think about it too much and just concentrate on your work.

Aaahh the old adage "The grass isn't always greener on the other side" certainly applies here. Working in your present environment has proven to be quite stressful on the employee leading to lack of motivation, illness, and even depression. I am not sure what you mean by the lack of professionalism in the other department, but they certainly sound like a good group of people. I would request to return to my old friends.

no do not quit they are probably just jealous of your position.
