Company's stock has dropped: consider leaving? |
My company's stock has fallen more than 50% since I began working here 6 months ago. It is currently very low (under $3 a share), and although the corporate offices are optimistic, I don't feel entirely secure with my job. Should I consider finding employment elsewhere or ride this out? A really tough call. Consider the industry. Consider the company's position in the industry. Is the company under investigation for fraud, security violations, etc? By the way, management has no choice but to be optimistic. Can you imagine how you'd feel if they weren't? It doesn't hurt to put out feelers in the marketplace so long as the recruiter respects your confidentiality. Good luck. |
