Am I asking too much...? |
I am professional, very hard working, on time, and almost never sick. I have an AA (business focus; 3.78 gpa) and more than my share of work experience in offices and banking. I am an office manager now and I was an administrative assistant in my last job. A long time ago I was a supervisor at a K-Mart. I have excellent letters of recommendation from all kinds of people. I鈥檓 mid 20's. I dress professionally and act as such. I have all the things that go with a model employee. Then why is it that I can not find a place, in Orlando, to pay me $15.50 and give me vacation after 90 days. And I dont mean all off the bat but like my friends and boyfriend earn theirs as they go. Like for every 40hrs he gets 6.25 of vacation. And it seems normal to me. I would like health benefits too. I just want to take a vacation and not worry if I get sick one day that I cant pay my bills. Am I asking for too much? Thank you for your answers! I don't understand it. Most companies have benefit packages that include vacation time, although some are not as generous as your boyfriends. It can be hard to find a higher salary outside of Boston, NY and California however with qualifications like yours, you should be able to find a good paying job with more generous benfits. I would try some practice interviews and see what kind of feedback you get. Keep looking and don't get discouraged because with your qualifications, you are bound to get something soon. Good luck! Raise your standards, seek jobs with high-profile companies, in corporate America, law firms, hospitals, etc. Report It why don't you just hire in as the ceo and give your self anything you want. understandable. I know when I first started working i had requested some days off that I didnt have. I just went into the negatives and couldnt do anything till I got out. So it will vary from employer to another. That's why I started my own business. If all you said is true, you can do it. Try another country. I'm serious. The global economy is driving a global job market. Go where your English is also valuable. China is where Walmart ships out from. And, China is desperate for English speakers who can teach their people the language before the Olympics. Many Westerners are emigrating to places like beautiful Singapore and Pattya in Thailand. I'm just throwing out ideas. I thinking of Saudi Arabia myself. |
