How to needed, With Samba/Linux File Shares.? |
Ok, I will try to make it as detailed as possible. I have a Linux box (Fedora Core 5) which is sharing a folder on the network with about 8 users accessing that folder from their Windows XP/Vista Machines. Every user has the folder mapped as a network drive on their PC. So they double click on the mapped network icon, enter their username and password and they are able to access the folder. So far so good. Now my office is located in Austin, TX. I have another office in Michigan, where 4 users must have access to this shared folder. Can I achieve this? If yes how? Can the folks in Michigan also have it on their PCs as a mapped network drive and use it just like they were here in Austin? Detailed help would greatly be appreciated. Michigan: Why not? |
