Computer data recovery and cleaning deleted files...? |
Hi, I share a computer at my office, and I am afraid that someone has been trying to recover my files...My identity has been stolen once, and I don't want this to happen again. I used a program called "clean disk security" to get rid of my deleted business documents, and the website I downloaded this program off of recommended a program called "disk investigator" to see if the deleted files can still be recovered...well, I searched for "bills," an old file I used to have and this is what showed up: If you download the Security Toolkit from the URL below you can use it's secure file shredder to overwrite any file to military specs, which would take an expert and very expensive hardware and software to even try to recover. And then they would only get a few bits and bytes here and there, if they're lucky. The program is free, too! Ccleaner is good for your solution. if you know where the file is go to it then right click it then delete then go to the recycle bin then delete it from there and it can not be recovered When you delete a file, it isnt acctually deleted from your disk, so it can be recovered for some reason. I use tuneup sherred to erase important data on my PC, it has 7 passes deletion feature so your deleted file may not recovered again. Try SecureClean, it will permanently wipe the data off sectors of your hard drive that aren't being used by active files. |
