Network sharing?

ok. I have 2 pc's
1. This one in my office, spend my life here
2. In front room connected to stereo and TV.

I have set up shared folders on my network and also run VNC server so I can work on either pc from the other.

The two pc's are only a 6 metres apart.

What I would like to do is pick some music here and play it on the pc in the front room, or send a picture from here to the screen of the other.

I can do it by dropping in a shared folder then operating via vnc the other pc but this seems slow.

How would I choose a song on here and play it there?

Merry Christmas and thanks

if you need more info please ask

maybe having a lplaylist configured to song in a certain folders. So maybe you can send a music files to the other conmputer shared file which at the same time is also the playlist folder.

I think you get the idea.

if the computers are only six meters apart turn up your music or hide some speaker wire under yhe carpet. KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid.
