Will you please share with me your positive experience/encounter with ANY government office .?

What dept. was it?
What was your compalint?
What was the outcome?

I'm surprised to see there are a couple of positive answers. Mostly having to do with the Post Office. Please also continue with these answers, I am curious as to see what the gove really does do for the money they take from our pockets. Then I would love to see what it would cost for those services individually of course with my share of taxes.

Lets did a little deeper, how about reports against the Atty Bar Assn. or again the America Medical Assn?

FYI the Postal Servicedoes not work on tax money, and hasn't since 1970.

I had a problem with my local road department. They left a pothole open and it ruined our car's engine. I emailed the mayor asking for help and guidance and he refused to answer me. I've decided he can't be ttrusted and am going to voted against him.

Every day i come home watchin the Democrapy party wallow in there sorrow and frustrations of loosing elections left and right.

i AM!
ALLAH!

Are there any "positive" experiences with government offices? I love my country, and yet fear my government!!!

I would be interested to see if you get any responses to this.

The lady at the post office is always very nice.

Just this morning I went to my local post-office in Philadelphia to apply for a passport. The individuals I dealt with were helpful and courteous.

after losing one of my jobs i couldn't pay all my bills... i went to the community services consortium to get help on my utility bills... they set me up on a program where they paid my electricity bill so i wouldn't get shut off and i was able to pay them back once i went back to work... they were all very nice and understanding... in fact they said they have the greatest job in the world because they get to give money to those who really need it.

Public Utilities Commission.
My ex wife established long distance service under my soc. sec. # without my knowledge, & left me with a $350 phone bill, the phone company said I had to pay it to get service again. The PUC did a very thorough investigation & sent me a document detailing every conversation I had w/ the phone company. They ruled against the phone co. & asked me what I wanted as reimbursement, (I only asked for the $350).
The only complaint I have is that it took hours of weaving through recorded messages, pressing touchtone buttons & being on hold before I got to speak with someone, and it took about 4 months before I got the action resolved, but I was very happy with the justice that was served, especially after the woman at the phone co. kept changing her story & speaking to me in a very aggravating and smug manner.
