Setting up a Peer-to-Peer network with XP Help!?

Okay I need to setup a small office workgroup network for File and printer sharing. I want to attempt to do this using a Linksys router, each PC will be running windows XP, and the router will also be connection to a Verizon DSL Modem.

So my first step will be to get the internet up and running on the first/host PC through the router. Then I will connect the other 4 PC's to the router and make sure they have internet. I then plan to set them all up for the same "workgroup" name, and add shared folders to each PC, and share any printers that I may need to. Then I will hopefully try to get the PC's to see one another. At that point I would like to be able to map network drives among the computer for easier communication.

Can you foresee any problems with this? Will I be able to accomplish this using a Linksys router and not a hub or switch?

Thanks in advance!

You have the right setup planned here. Make very sure your WiFi is secure and encrypted before ever sharing anything PC to PC. Otherwise your thoughts are on the path to success.

Also, if you are going to be sharing files, you will need user accounts setup with identical usernames and password on each computer. Workgroups aren't designed for this scenario and aren't streamlined to work well. Depending on what this company is doing, they should maybe consider purchasing a SBS2003 server.
