Planning to migrate to Perth or Melbourne (Aus). Can s1 help me identify websites than offers counselling?

I would like to know more about the economy and the job market at both places. Living expenses, cultures, people... I have family, relatives and friends there but there's just so much they can share. It's like the same experiences and thoughts shared all the time. I want to know too, if there's actually a comprehensive list of multi-national companies that has offices in Perth and Melbourbe instead of just Sydney (yawn) or Brisbane. Would be grateful if there's an online organization for queries like these. Thanks, much appreciated.

Have you checked the Department of Immigration site that contains information on Employers who sponsor skilled people to work in Australia http://www.immi.gov.au/immigration.htm.
