Who Excatly are the Neocons?
There isn't a political Neoconservative Party, so a neoconservative is just someone with neoconservative ideas. The prime movers of the neoconservative movement have all at one time shared the same roof under the Project For a New American Century (PNAC). PNAC is a think tank that advises on military and diplomatic affairs, has it's offices in the American Enterprise Institute building. It consists of polititions, defense experts, and editorialists. Signers of PNACs original 1987 mission statement who currently serve in government include:

Donald Rumsfeld (Secretary of Defense)
Paul Wolfowitz (Deputy Secretary of Defense)
Peter W. Rodman (Assistant Secretary of Defense)
Dick Cheney (Vice President)

I just read someone say in another answer that calling someone a neocon was like calling some the N word, that it didn't exist. Just name calling. But that is not true.

Exactly. Neo-cons are supporters of neo-conservatism. These have totally taken over the Republican party. They have NO clue nor ties to true conservatives who are becoming extinct.

They deny their own existence yet their words and actions speak loud and clearly as to their neo-conservative ideology.

Let me explain what a Republican Conservative is: A war monger who hids behind religon while it bank rupts the country.

neocons are new american imperialists. They hold fast to the ideals propagated to them by the WH thru their spokesmen Fox News. The ideals are repeated for weeks so that the ideas can be remembered. The smarter ones write down the "talking points" and make small calenders with them written in. Right below their Bible verse of the day. They uniformly believe Bush is on the right track. The world is 5,000 yrs old is another belief of theirs. Family values are no abortion and send other peoples young to die in Iraq.

Khalilzad was until recently replaced by John Negroponte (who was also a signer) our ambassador to Iraq as well.

the definition and the actual organization could be different. think tank doesnt even fit in. its just another thing that our government keeps from us, which just amplifies the fact that they are liars and shouldnt be where they are. they will lead us to our demise if something isnt done quick. actually its probably too late. this country could be defeated by its own democratic process. ive heard more than 1 person compare the us to the roman empire.

I think they associate the word "Neo" with Neo-Nazi. Neo means "New".
