How do I save a document in word 2007 to a network drive?

I'm trying to save a document to my office's "L" drive, which is the shared drive. I don't see this option. I just installed Office 2007.

Click on the desktop icon called My Network Places or Network Neighborhood. If you see the drive listed as drive L:
just drag and drop the file over the L drive icon. If it is not listed, click "Map Network Drive" under the Tools menu. Ask your Network Administrator for the location to the drive. When they tell you it, type it in the space to tell Windows where to list that netwrok drive. Thats all folks!!!!

Well, firstly, I'd say, you can double click on the network drive and see if you are able to access it. Just to make sure that you are on the network itself. If no, you can check your network cable are plugged in good and firm and then log off and log back in again and ensure that you are on the network.

Secondly, if you are on the network, when you specify the location to save your file, you should be able to see the network drive itself. Otherwise, you can save the file onto the local computer's 'Desktop' or 'My Documents' and then copy/cut the same to the required location.
