Inventions?Easy to patent?

I recently had a stroke of genius while helping a friend with his billing. I am in the process of getting a patent for my idea but I am having doubts about the patent office as well as the friend I shared this with. What if they steal my idea? How can I be sure my idea is safe?

Draw up a proof of concept sheet. Detailing it . Then have it notarized and dated then mail it to yourself . Put it away unopened. A patent is only good if your idea is going to be wanted or used. Go ahead with your prototype and marketing. Make sure there is a market for your product. A patent is only an expensive piece of paper. Get it going start making and selling your product. Then with all this done they cannot take your idea. A patent firm will take your money. Don't make a mistake worth thousands and end up with a worthless piece of paper.

When you get a patent, a copyright will be included. That stops other people from copying off of your invention. If they do copy off of your invention, you can sue and your copied invention will be erased.
