Wireless broadband?

Hi,
I want to share my home broadband connection (Virgin Media) with an office computer which I am bringing home. Both have wireless capabilities so can anyone tell me what I need to buy (and do!). Also, will the office computer be a slow connection as it's shared? Thanks

I didn't get any manual with the office PC and there are wires etc I don't know what they are for. I have an aerial looking thing, a pink wire and a wire with a black rectangular shaped thing on the end which has a plug like earphones do. I am so lost...

You must have a wireless router at your home to share the connection.(Available at Walmart, etc.) With your description of the "aerial thingy" it sounds like the office computer is ready to go with a wireless NIC.
If you have a router - you should be able to start that office computer up and get a bubble message that your wireless connection is in range - click on it and connect.
Make sure you follow the directions in setting up the router - and secure it!

as far as the company pc, the plate with you plug your power and video and soforth in, it should be marked. just plug the keyboard into the keyboard slot and soforth

You can easily share your broadband connection with the two computers. go to www.linksys.com for networking setup and information. Both computer will need a network card or wireless adapter. Computer one will need a wireless modem or router. Computer two will need the wireless adapter. The connect may at times be slow depending on the actual computer speed/condition and what the other user is doing at the same time, for example downloading a large file on one computer may slow the other down a bit. But seriously if you want any info on networking, www.linksys.com will have all the answers. Good luck.
