File sharing between Vista & XP?

I have a desktop running on Vista and an office laptop running XP which connects to a domain at work. I am also using a wireless router linked to my Vista desktop.

I managed to set up file sharing and the Vista desktop can read the XP laptop but not the other way round. Tried pinging but can't locate the laptop.

Suspect its got to do with the Domain - Workgroup differences in both machines. How do I get round this without disabling the Domain setting on my office laptop?

On the XP computer have you gone into network places and chose to set up a network again - this is what I had to do to get my XP computers to show my Vista computers.
