File Sharing/Bit torrent/P2P Why So Down ?

I just want to know why people get so down on file sharing whatever the format.

They will gladly copy a cd from their friend etc. But when it comes to doing it on line people are so down about it.

People claim that it robs the entertainment industry of money.....but i've never seen a poor producer/director or star.

If i down load the next box office hit a month early or whatever, i dont see the the main star of the film and the production companys downgrading their cars and houses because they have lost money. I dont see bruce willis out of pocket from die hard 4 becuase people have downloaded the movie.

Infact every box office hit just seems to make millions more each time and the last 2 years worth of sequels have certainly lined a few pockets.



So why are alot of people down on it ???

Give me a genuine & valid reason.

Why should i keep lining those multi millionaires pockets year in & year out.

My only guess is that the industry prosecutes file sharers but can not track down daily in person copiers. Back in the early 90's the record industry files suite to have a "royalty" added to all blank tapes (was a long time ago!) under the assumption that the tapes were being used to duplicate copy-righted material and shared. So you paid extra for a cassette that went to them even if you used that tape to record a lecture in class or recorded your own music.

The industry has ripped off the artist since it began, ripped off the consumer and tried to put a entertainment dollar value spin on it. MEtallica used to say in thier concerts as recently as the black album to go steal thier cds, yet they prosecuted thier fans that DL'd them. why? steal from a store, the band and label still makes $$$, only the retailer is out. DL them, the company sees no money.
