The ACLU Socialist Front
No single group has had as much a detrimental effect on our society in the last half century as the American Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU claims to be an unbiased, 鈥渘either conservative or liberal鈥?organization devoted exclusively to protecting the civil liberties of all Americans. But their record proves just the opposite in that they almost always support the liberal anti-Christian side of every argument. In fact, if we only look into their background it is easy to discern this wolf in sheep鈥檚 clothing. Promoted as a patriotic group they actually would have us reduced to socialism or outright communist oppression. I鈥檒l let the wolves themselves leak the real truth.
Board Member John H. Holmes admitted that they were only using the 鈥渃ivil liberties issue鈥?in supporting the 鈥渃ause of radicalism鈥?
Founder Roger Baldwin said, 鈥淐ivil liberties, like democracy, are useful only as tools for social change.鈥?
Although they claim to defend constitutional rights, they don鈥檛 even believe in the document as written. They say that, 鈥淭he Constitution as originally conceived was deeply flawed.鈥?They even go so far as to brag, 鈥淭he ACLU was the missing ingredient that made our constitutional system finally work.鈥?This might explain why they say that, 鈥淭he possession of weapons by individuals is not constitutionally protected鈥?when the Bill of Rights plainly states that, 鈥淭he right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.鈥?Such hypocrisy shows that the modern liberal is the contemporary equivalent of the ancient Pharisee. The Pharisees claimed to be defenders of the Law of God when in effect they dismantled it. Christ accused them in Matthew 15:6:鈥?Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. 鈥?
This opposition to true freedom as established in our 鈥淏ible based鈥?constitution is better understood, as we find out about the ACLU鈥檚 origins in the communist socialist cause. Roger Baldwin, the founder was greatly influenced by known communist Emma Goldman who tutored him in subversive ideology of Lenin as well as in humanism (based on the inherent goodness of man). He claimed Emma as 鈥渙ne of the chief inspirations of his life鈥?
During World War 1 Baldwin worked in the Bureau of Conscientious Objectors, a division of AUAM, to help draft dodgers with resistance and provide legal and financial aid. This resulted in controversy and Baldwin renamed the organization The Civil Liberties Bureau to avoid some of the flack. Roger refused to tone down his liberal talk and the AUAM sought a split, which resulted in the bureau renaming again; The National Civil Liberties Bureau.
One paper Baldwin wrote for the Bureau was called 鈥渦nmailable鈥?by the Post Office because of 鈥渞adical and subversive views鈥?which resulted in a FBI raid on their offices. Shortly thereafter he was drafted and upon resisting and openly spouting social reform propaganda, was imprisoned for a year.
In 1920 he moved his offices in with the Communist Party鈥檚 paper, New Masses and renamed the group a final time to the ACLU. He developed many ties with the communist movement and even wrote a book, Liberty Under the Soviets, which bragged about the 鈥渓iberty won for anti-religion鈥? Roger joined many United Front causes, which he admitted to be communist front groups. He stated:
I Joined. I don鈥檛 regret being a part of the Communist tactic, which increased the effectiveness of a good cause. I knew what I was doing. I was not an innocent liberal. I wanted what the Communists wanted鈥︹€?br>
For it鈥檚 first 60 years 80% of ACLU Board and Committee Members had Communist affiliations, and 90% of its cases were involved in defending Communists. Consider these cases and official positions:
- 1952 Led the campaign against exposing the Communist element in the entertainment industry.
- 1960 Fought to legally prohibit Christmas displays and celebrations at public schools.
- 1962 Argued that a daily prayer recital was an illegal 鈥渆stablishment of religion鈥?
- 1973 鈥淒oe v. Bolton鈥?case along with 鈥淩oe v. Wade鈥?helped overturn anti-abortion laws.
- 1982 Positioned itself against teaching of Creationism in favor of exclusive Evolution.
- 1986 Argued against prayers before High School football games.
- Argued in favor of allowing open gays in the military.
They have also sought the following restrictions:
- Halt the singing of Christmas Carols in public facilities.
- Deny tax -exempt status for Churches.
- Remove all military chaplains.
- Remove all Christian symbols from public property.
- Prohibit Bible reading in classrooms even during free time.
- Remove In God We Trust from our coins.
Our enemies certainly know who they are battling against it鈥檚 just too sad that we are so na茂ve and ignorant not to recognize them as just that, enemies. 1 Peter 2:16 speaks of these people:
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
And again in Galatians 5:13:
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Our best service to one another is to share our understanding and expose those who seek to steal our liberty and put us into bondage in their global plantation.
(Gal 2:4 KJV) And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
(All quotations are from the King James Version Bible) In theory they are a good thing, it protects each person's individual rights.
In practice, it seems like they want to level society by eliminating anything that makes a group unique. You can't have religion because that makes some thin-skinned atheist sad. But you have to appreciate a person's right to use hate-speech.
They're a hypocritical organization I think you answered your own question.. they are extremely bad.. they tear down nativity scenes at Christmas for crying out loud! The ACLU is great. They stand for your rights. Just ask Rush Lumbaugh. They helped Rush. As soon as the government violates your rights or roughs you up during an arrest, who's to say you won't be running to the ACLU while you're wiping your tears? Your long winded but you are right. Oh please, a board member is a appointed person and has no clue!
The ACLU gives access to the courts for Constitutional issues for the poor! I know you people that can afford to take your own cases to the US Supreme court, or have reason that you don't want the low income access to the courts!
The Courts were made to redress PEOPLES issues, NOT just those who can afford it!
You would love to allow only the rich access to the courts! Sorry, that is not the way the US Constitution is written!
Whether you like the issues they bring is not material, and it seems that the courts have been siding with them, which you can't stand! Other peoples views are as important as yours are. You aren't the court, and thank God you aren't! Wow, someone sure is angry with American Civil lib union,,
I think it would be useless to ask mortals to top trying to defend an immortal God, and not stand judge over their brothers.
Anyhow they are as stupid as their detractors , so i don't know what to say, except Merry xmas & b good. they were founded to protect communists and undermine the government, so they are BAD Very good for our country. God Bless the ACLU
they have done more good for this country than say george bush. You are right. The ACLU has tried to rewrite our Constitution many times to fit their own agenda, as have many radical judges. Their biggest rewrite? "Seperation of Church and State" The ACLU has the entire country believing this is a law... but it is NOWHERE in the Constitution. The First Amendment states:
"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
This does not mean that there can be no religion in government. It means that the goverment cannot force the country to follow one religion (which is what our Founding Fathers were escaping from in Europe).
The second part of that means that the goverment can make no laws saying that people can't practice their own religion.... whether in public or in private.
So actually... the ACLU is trying to take away freedoms... they are going AGAINST the Constitution they claim to uphold.
