What can u do?

if crackheads live across the street from u and they have much traffic and ur neighbor who u shared a duplex with was always on the watch for them and he did a good job with his relations with police in keeping most the bad people in the neighborhood to at least settle their act down alittle BUT NOW i think one of the guys form the crackhouse got him on crack because now a bunch of crackheads stay at his house and they do the crazy things on their lawn and on my lawn (because its a duplex we live so close to each other and they wander over) but they strip apart tvs and a screen broke by the road so i got a flat tire and tonight...there was all this screaming and banging around and fighting in the yard. and a couple hours later after this fighting was still going on it finally got qute and then my door started banging and it and i was so scared so i went to hide then I heard "SHERRIFF's OFFICE.bang bang bang SHERRIF'S OFFICE PLEASE COME OUT OR WE WILL COME IN bang bang boom" so i ran to

and it was five cops with their guns drawn and I almost died of a heart attack and they said why r u so spooked and then i think they figured out they had the wrong place and i told them about the screaming and they ran next door and told me to go inside and i did then i heard so much screaming and fighting and banging around and i heard more sirens..i hope nobody got hurt but i am scared now as the neighborhood is out of hand..how can i build good relations with my local police department to help clean up my neighborhood? thats what my neighbor did untill he became one of the bad ones...how do i do it? i am scared to live here and cannot move right now

Anytime you feel something is wrong, just call the police. Keep yourself and your family out of harms way. Do not try to investigate and always act like nothing is wrong. Also their are many other resources you have at your disposal, since community orientated policing (C.O.P.) is now the national standard of police work, I suggest you contact the residents of your neighborhood and police department you live in and set community meetings about what is going on in the neighborhood, these meetings should include the beat sergent and officers. Their is multiple communities in my city I have to call off on the radio when I make a presence patrol at least 3 times during my shift, which requires me to get out and walk around and talk to people.

I say act like nothing is wrong, because crackheads are 100 times more aware and if they see you as any type of threat which includes being nosey they may not like you.
