Are there any politicians running for office who support ending animal circuses?

I would like to know if there is anyone running for any office who pledges to end animal circuses if elected.

I have been to circuses and personally witnessed a trainer torturing a tiger prior to performance. He trapped it in the runway leading to the ring and took a rod and kept jabbing the tiger with it as hard as he could while the tiger cried out in pain. If you support circuses, you're not supporting family fun, you're uninformed and supporting extreme abuse of animals. Elephants feel the same pain from a bullhook as you would if it was used on you. Their skin is sensitive like yours. Most die many years prematurely for your entertainment - and in those few years they know no kindness. They all - every single one of them - perform out of fear and are beaten and abused every day of their lives. Circuses are the cruelist show on earth! Every time you go to a circus you pay for each animal to continue being abused.

Gee if we did away with animal circuses we would have to do away with Congress.

I hope not. Since India is destroying all their forests there wont be any tigers outside zoos and circuses, global warming is destroying the polar bears which is a very good thing they are violent to baby seals which leads them to violence on people.

I wish those places are so mean to animals. But I did here a long time ago that a judge from Texas wanted to ban it from that state.

I hope not. We have so many more important issues to worry about.

In India we achieved it.. by passing a law prohibiting use of animals in circuses and other shows.. all wild animals from circus companies have been transferred to zoos located at different places.... that far good but as shojo said... we still see our street dogs getting killed so torturously by authorities in such a manner no sensitive human being can accept..... anyway thanks for bringing a ring of thought in ppls minds for the sake of poor animals, in this decent forum.
