I recvied a nwe E-mail it is attachement pleas tell me if it was true or trickery mail? |
about lottery this is the E-mail: ----- Original Message ----- From: Yahoo Lottery Bonanza Sent: Saturday, February 03, 2007 4:31 AM Subject: [spam] Yahoo Annual Award (丌拢1,500,000) Yahoo! Lottery Results You won 拢1,500,000 Yahoo! Mail congratulates you! Yahoo!!! Mail announce to you the draw of the Yahoo Lottery Coporation program held on the 5th of January, 2007 in London. Your e-mail address attached to ticket number: ............with Serial number ...........drew the lucky numbers: ///////////, which subsequently won you the lottery prize in the 2nd category. You have therefore been approved to claim a total sum of GBP拢1,500,000.00 (One million five hundred thousand Great Britain pounds) in cash credited to file C/9080118308/02. This is from a total cash prize of GBP拢45 Million , shared amongst the first Thirty (30) lucky winners in this category. . Please note that your lucky winning number falls within our European booklet representative office in UK Spam and a phishhing attempt. Congratulations if it is true, but I wouldn't hold your breath! This is definitely a scam. Report as spam, block the address, delete the email....you have won NOTHING except the chance to have your bank account emptied by some foreign criminals it's a scam This is a scam!!!!! ther are chances for the attachment to contain viruses so better not open it if u hav any antivirus system installed u cud opn tat but i cant assure tat systems are capable of cleaning all the viruses This is most likely to be spam, you can check with Yahoo (use Yahoo website, not a link in the email). Realistically if Yahoo were giving away that much money they'd be making a big promotional song and dance about it on their home page. The most important thing is DO NOT click on any links in the email. DO NOT give out any passwords or bank details. Delete it .. it is a scam its a rip off.dont reply to then what ever you do.delete the massage.and when you get any more delete them. Ignore it, and delete it. It's a scam - don't just delete it, press the SPAM button, otherwise it'll come back. You haven't won anything - Yahoo don't run a lottery, & you didn't buy a ticket. Ask yourself these questions,Have you ever put your e-mail address on a lottery ticket? Have you bought a lottery ticket from yahoo? Why is there no contact information on this e-mail?If the answer is no to any of these questions then the word you are looking for is scam. |
