So I met a man at Penny's while shopping and he seemed to be pretty old 40 maybe 50?

I have shared my opinions on old men hitting on younger women. This man was different, very well off, asked me out for a coffee and he was really quite interesting and had a sense of humor. I'd rather he be my age but he's not ... we gave eachother our emails and he's sent me an email everyday and even sent flowers and chocolate to my office (receptionist) What to do?

Shelby you didn't tell us your age but I'm guessing you are in your early twenties if you are considering 40's or 50's as older. If your belief system tells you that this isn't right then you should listen to your gut. Tell him you appreciate the attention he is trying to lavish on you but that you are not interested in trying to form a romantic relationship with him. Be honest also about the age difference and you'd probably be wise to cease conversing with this fella as he may not give up so easily if he thinks there is any chance he may be able to add you as another notch in his belt. First question, ask him straight out how old he is, after first saying "if you can't answer honestly then don't answer."

I'm very open about the fact that I'm 44. I look far younger because I've looked after my body, but I'm still 44. I can't escape from that.

I think the age difference will cause you huge problems sooner or later. BTW does he look younger or older than me? Just curious... :)
