Can somebody help interpret these interactions?

I am a teenage boy in highschool who needs help interpreting these interactions. A girl in my PE class came up to me while we were waiting for the bell to ring and she asked, ' what's up with the girlies?', later clarifying with something like, 'do you like someone?' or 'is there a girl you like?' I didn't respond initially, but after she asked me several times I said 'turn up your music' (she had her iPod on), as a way to politely ask her to stop asking, which she responded with 'oooh...somebody's avoiding the subject!'. Later, a one of the PE teachers saw my t-shirt that said Colorado on it, and after reading it out loud he asked me if I've ever been there, then followed up on specifics and shared anectodes about his visits to Colorado. He talked to me about his travels out there, and asked me some questions, and after a while he just left to his office. Then, in history class, to guys who sit next to me were snickering for a while, then they slowly started telling me 'there's this rI was suspicious, but I wrote it down for them just to shut them up, then they finally explained 鈥榃hen you put the words together, it makes 鈥榩enis land鈥?(basically it was an immature spelling trick).

Why did these people ask these things? What does it mean? Are they jokes? If so, are they friendly ones, mocking ones? Are these people just being polite or inclusive? Are these signs of people trying to be nice, being mean, or something else? What does it all mean? What are these people getting at?
