Am I really clingy?

I was engaged to this man, and we were to get married, and two weeks only left to the marriage, and he ran off with some other, and they shared an STD.
We never quarrelled and he called me that evening and e-mailed,
discussing the wedding. The next morning I got the e-mail which said
that he did not want us to be together, and how we was with that other
one.
I called him back, and he did not switched on to the voice mail and
never picked up but let me call and then turned off, and then again.
Later I found out that he was sitting at his office with her and some
others, laughing and that the other one said: "How clingy she is. Why does she call you."
They never told me about the STDs (they have three at once), again, later I found out, and I had none.
So, I thought: am I really clingy? Was it not normal to call after
what happened? or should I just accept it and never try to call him
for explanations and e-mail him?
I am so confused.

I don't think your clingy, you deserve some kind of explanation. Let them spread STD with each other not you. I am sorry that happened to you

You haven't provided enough information for anyone to make that judgement. Sounds like you were being reasonable, though. You were about to marry someone and he called it off. You had every right for an answer. That's very inconsiderate not to give one to you. On the other hand, there may have been something that he was afraid to tell you. Either way, he should have told you. You will likely never have an answer. Good luck moving on and keep your head up.
