yahoo

In search type in - what is my IP address?

all i know is that to get the IP you go to www.ipchicken.com from the computer which you need the IP sory thats all i can do

Well if you send an e-mail from your computer, you can find the IP address by looking at where the e-mail came from (as in your computer). . .it should be a sequence of numbers

If you go to my website and sign my guest book, your IP address shows up by your name.

The steps are listed in this website for you.
Hope this help.

http://whatismyip.com

This website will display your IP

As for the IP Address you can just go to www.whatismyip.com and it will tell you your internet IP Address which you will need to connect remotely.

If you want to access office programs you'll need something like Remote Desktop. (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using...

Go to Start and then Run.
Type cmd and click okay.
And once the command prompt opens.
Just type in ipconfig and enter.
And that would be one way to get your IP Address.

on the windows pc which you want the IP address for:
start>Run> type cmd > in the command prompt type "ipconfig" without the quotation marks.
it will tell you next to ip adress

go to run type in cmd

when that comes up type in ipconfig
there it is

go to http://www.lawrencegoetz.com/programs/ip... and your IP adress will be at the top of the screen

To find the IP address (assuming it's Windows), sit at the computer in question and click Start > Run. Type 'cmd' (without the single quotes) and press [Enter]. In the command window, type 'ip config /all' This will show all your connection information. Assuming you only have one connection, look for the line: IP Address and copy down the number.

As to accessing it remotely - I can't answer - depends on your OS, what system you're accessing it from, and where. If it's from work and your IT department is at all competent, you'll likely be blocked. In addition, your ISP may have setup your router by default not to allow that kind of connection, and that would be a setting you'd have to research to figure out how to change. I suggest re-posting your question with OS information, who your ISP is, what kind of connection you have as well as router/HUB/hardware information to get a fully detailed answer. That's the best I can do with the limited information supplied.

1. If the Network Connection icon is in the System tray, right click it, select Status. Then click the Support tab.

2. Open a Command Prompt window and type IPCONFIG /ALL

3. You can also visit http://www.whatismyip.com

Click start, then run
type command & press enter, then type ipconfig & press enter

http://www.lawrencegoetz.com/programs/ip...

This is the IP address of the machine that requested the page. Typically this is your own IP address. If you used a router/proxy you will not get the correct IP address.

Windows XP Remote Desktop Connection software [XPSP2 5.1.2600.2180]
Brief Description
Remote Desktop in Windows XP Professional provides remote access to the desktop of your computer running Windows XP Professional, from a computer at another location. Using Remote Desktop you can, for example, connect to your office computer from home and access all your applications, files, and network resources as though you were in front of your computer at the office.

try yahoo help.com first, also try your internet service provider. good luck.

start/run put in cmd then click OK and then type in ipconfig and hit enter.

All you jokers with "whatismyip" and "ipchicken" this will give her her WAN IP address, not her computer's IP address as requested!
