Who can make this database?

Does anyone know of a company that makes or can make a database that would allow the user to put in the tenant information and address and spit out the eviction paper work that need filed. I have seen attorneys in court with paperwork that was computer generated. I have asked them about it and they say thier office created the database and of course are not willing to share . Any ideas ?

I was coding a rental property manager, I was intending to use it personally, when i'm going to start renting properties. I was going to get legal advise for the generated documents(including leases, eviction notes, and tax data) I was coding my own because I could not find a good program. It cost a mint to have one coded, you should either code yourself, or if you are seeing good income from you rentials, find a cheap sofware company. Mine is nowhere near releasable(and has been put on hold/will probably not get finished.)

if you are severly interested i can make on for you using an access spreadsheet and then make a front end program for you but see most people when they say data base usually mean like mass storage like sql database or something along those lines you can download the stuff you need to make the database but then you will either need to download a program that will let you choose the settings and stuff to show what you want or you will have to have someone develop a front end for you

You might first look on the 'net for sample legal letters.

Then, if you have Microsoft Word or Open Office or some other office application suite, you could do a mail merge.

Mail merge involves taking one file with info that changes for each letter, like tenant name, amount overdue, etc., and stuff that doesn't change, like the letter itself, and merging these together so that you can create a customized letter for each recipient.

You could stick your Tenant information in say an Excel spreadsheet, then open Word, and use the spreadsheet as a mail merge data source to merge them into customized letters.

Below is a good article on mail merge basics:

A good database developing program would have to be Access from the Microsoft Office series, however you can get an exact version like this from the program OpenOffice.org, which has everything Microsoft Office has, plus more. Make databases, slideshows, etc. I hope this helps.

Have a look for "Property Management" software. I'm sure someone has a shareware or freeware application. I'm not sure about the specifics for eviction notices tho, it may be very regional as to what the wording and requirements are.

You may want to have a look into something called "Mail Merge", which is essentially creating form letters that have details like name, address etc. filled in from an external data source like a spreadsheet, database or even a specially formatted text file (comma separated values). That may get you fairly close to what you want without the complexity of a full database program.
