Do u tell your parents, partners and loved one鈥檚 abt Y/A. When everything you do here is right why hide:?

Many chat or come on Y/A when their parents are not around. Some of them hide it from their partners. Many have great friends in 鈥淵/A鈥?but want to keep in secret.

I am not saying it is wrong, as I understand that many parents, partners and others won鈥檛 understand the concept of Y/A. However it is our reasonability to explain our loved one鈥檚 about 鈥淵/A鈥?and make them feel comfortable.

I would like to share with you my experience and want your opinion:

Yesterday afternoon, while I was at office my wife was using my laptop at home. I was at office where yahoo messenger is blocked. At home during lunch break my wife was using the laptop (she uses it rarely). In my laptop I have automatic logon to YMessenger.

One of the answerer (female) came one line to chat with me. She was addressing me: 鈥淗i dear, Gentleman! how are you. I love your questions. I want to chat with you ..鈥?things like that鈥?

My wife has immediately responded that 鈥淚 am Gentleman鈥檚 wife and he is coming home in another 15 mins, you can wait and chat with him鈥? Immediately the answerer tried to explain the reason for her chat.

My wife told her that she is totally aware of what I was doing and she is comfortable any answerer chatting with me.

My wife also called me on my mobile and told me to come home directly as one of my answerer is waiting.

However I was bit worried about the answerer. I wanted to find out how my wife spoke to her. Answerer felt happy talk to her.

I was so happy at what happened. I was so proud of my wife and her confidence on me.

I am not trying to boast myself here. What I am trying to say is that, when you are transparent to your loved one鈥檚 and make them understand what you are doing is correct, then life would be more peaceful and beautiful.

However to be transparent you should win their confidence with your actions.

yes i do. the only thing my mum and dad comfortable with me doing on the net is Y/A and chatting to particular friends in Y/A. other than that there are limitations!
do you know why? because my parent have confidence in me and they know my friends as i have introduced them to my parents! my parent are comfortable with whom i chat and if they are not, they will ask me to stop and i will. i dont hide anything on Y/A!!!!! I dont need to because i know that what i am doing is right! Do you know why my parents trust me and have confidence in me? Due to the reason that i never lied and i am not lying now and i will nevr lie in my life!!!!!They know that!
You know, i am training myself to be like how your wife is to you!!!! I am trainig myself to be the best sister of Senthil!!!!!!!!! (beauty queen, if you read, please dont come and fight. this is just what i am trying to make out of myself!)

my boyfriend nos i come on here alot, he was the one who showed me it and i fort it was cool, now im like addictied, but sometimes we sit and ansewer the questions 2gether.....xx

yeah yahoo answers is such a place who everyone would be proud to be a part of..my parents know about it and my sis is herself a y!a addict..she knws all my contacts and my best answers too!!!!she's also a gr8 fan of ur questions gentleman!!!she follows it regularly!

My hubby knows and had a problem with it at first,but he don't no more.He had a problem with my soaps to,but was home for a week and watched everyone of them with me.He still doesn't like them ,but he deals.He would radther see me on y/a then to watch soaps.I can do both.

I talk about y/a a lot and don't keep it from anyone. I guess the ones who keep it from people really do have things to hide. I don't really chat or make friends on here either, I have plenty of friends in "real life" however, if I felt a connection with someone, I would probably chat for a few.

It was great reading about your recent incident. Yes.....'iq level' or 'understanding minds' or 'sync in think' works wonders in a couple's married life.
Surely would have talked about Y/A with family......as still single, living with parents, get 30 mins. to interact (15 at breakfast & 15 at dinner).
Yet was about to mention U yesterday morning, but forgot....so THANKS for reminding as will do it tonight.

Hiii!!! I do not hide what i am doing at yahoo answers becoz my parents trust me and i am not a girl to break their trust!!! I always tell my parents about my friends at yahoo answers!!!

Hey I told her just for adding it to her knowledge as well.
Why should I hide when I am not doing anything wrong?
Rather I would brag about it and the contacts I made here.
I am lovin it.

it doesnt matter some times i dont tell cuz why do they have to know everything?

I do tell everything to my hus about Y/A, & especially about you.Today morning I even asked him if it bothered him in any way, to which he said not at all. Then to my suprise when i opened the mail there was this question of yours & i asked him to read it.

Ofcourse youngsters have to be careful.I tell a lot about you Gentleman, to my relatives who are more like a friend ,about your questions & the questions put forth.Since many of them are also practicing meditation i tell them that I'm spreading the message of our guru through the net.

Truly you are a couple made for each other.Your wife is really a broadminded & understanding wife.

yup...i told my husband about you...i told him you're real name and your nationality...i told him how we met at Y/A and how we have struck a friendship...like your wife, he doesnt mind...he knows he can trust me....besides he knows what great joy friendship brings to me....

wow ..how lovable your wife is..can i be her friend? shes so understanding i wish my bf will do the same.

Yes, i have the same concept again in my mind.

I feel that what i am doing on y/a is good and correct as it gives me a lot of information on any subject. I can post questions on any topic and then get many sensible answers. And on the top i get sensible questions like your's to answer.

My parents know that i am always 24 x 7 logged on to y/a. Well they really dont care what this site contains and i really dont bother to explain it to them or clear it to them as how much i'll try they will not listen to me and all my efforts will be wasted.

But 1 person knows about my active participation on y/a. He's my partner. And he always supports me. He loves my active contribution to this site and he always encourage me and motivate me to answer sensible questions and he really feels nice when i gather some information on any topic and share it with him.

He have always been there for me on each and every step of my life. He's very understanding. Ofcourse he's very possessive and jealous but i dont know when he comes to y/a , he's totally changed. Thats good for me ;)...lolz....

But my partner has got no restrictions with me being active on y/a and he has no problem seeing so many contacts in my fan's list...lolz...i wonder how??? :)......

He always trust me and have fulllllll confidence in me which i feel is a very great achievement. And i became more close to him after joining y/a as now i have a much more better understanding with him... :). ....tc...sweet dreamz...bye....
