A good way to get people involved in voting?

Television is a big factor when people decide to vote or who to vote for . Statistics say that more people are interested in American Idol than the American elections. So here are some of my ideas. Please let me which ones you agree with so we can work on getting them implemented in the upcoming presidential election...

- In the primaries each candidate must sing and perform one of their favorite popular songs .

- The candidates must prove their decision making skills by guessing between a number of briefcases full of campaign funds.

- All candidates must compete for an internship in the oval office where Dick Chaney will decide who gets the job.

- The candidates will share a small bungalow in Malibu on reality TV for a week. Where they will be judged by campaign contributes in a swimsuit contest.

- The candidates will make You Tube blogs and the one with the most hits will count as votes in the primaries.

How about a show were the candidates are hooked up to a machine and shocked with a few jolts of electricity when they do not truthfully answer a question.

Right on!

In Australia you get fined if you don't vote.

In Arizona, they were pushing a bill that would have a "voting lottery" and one of the voters would be a winner and get some money.

Ha sounds good, but some people vote blindly without even knowing anything about the ones running. On Hannity's America last week, people did NOT know who Nancy Pelosi was. Some said Hillary Clinton!! Oh MY!!! They are voting!!!

It is our duty as citizens to vote, but we must know about who we are voting for. To vote blindly is an injustice to America.

#1 -- I already have lived under a Governor/Senator (John Aschcroft) and a House member (Kenny Kulshof) who were excellent singers.

#2 -- Silly. (Especially since guessing isn't a "skill.")

#3 -- Pointless. Not even funny.

#4 -- More women and openly gay men in Congress? Maybe just what we need.

#5 -- I never look at You Tube anyway.

But besides all this frivolity, none of these are going to inspire to me go back into the voting booth. Punish the Supreme Court Justices who criminally interfered in Election 2000 and maybe I'll start thinking about voting again.

Don't even bother voting, because all presidents are elected by THIS secret and evil group that's been in control of everything for far too long!...
