Does this constitute a hostile work environment? what can i do? |
for the past four years i have been receiving treatment from a co-worker who continues to treat me with hostility and impatience. she acts out by yelling at me and expressing loud sighing. when work related issues arise. she shares the information with others and feels that she speaks loud enough for me to hear it. however she never brings the information directly to me. (i sit in a cublicle) if i ask her to repeat it she becomes angry and disgruntled. when i bring this to my supervisor's attention she begins to question me on "how did i ask the question," or states "maybe the yeller is having a bad day". the situation has escalted as caused a polarization in our office. some people continue to see it and have made comment to me of the unfairness, but do not wish to become involved. now i receive emails from my supervisor when saying "my co-workers" are coming to me with complaints about me. yet she never addresses me by asking me to come into her office to discuss the issues. ? YOUR SITUATION IS VERY HOSTILE ID RESIGN Quit. |
