Probleming PBX....?

Hello, This is Prabhakaran, In my Office, we put Broadband Recently, But the problem is , we are having a PBX there, Is there really a possible way to Share the Broadband over the PBX? Now we are splitting the ADSL , before the the PBX, and put the splitted ADSL into a modem and using the broadband in a single pc. And the other splitted Voice line is connected to PBX and we are inter-coming through it. But before broadband, we had a dialup internet connection, We Connected to internet over every terminal in our office. But it鈥檚 not possible now. We are even ready to buy some extra hardware to achieve it when its not possible to achieve normally. Can anyone tell a suggestion? What am I wonder is why this common criteria is not having any matters on the internet? Thanks in Advance.

Your PBX is a phone device. It handles phone calls.

Your DSL connection uses another part of the connection coming into the building (a different part of the total bandwidth available). It has **nothing** to do with your PBX.

In stead of a dial-up connection, you now have an always-on connection.

You probably used to dial-out via your phone line, meaning every computer had a modem built in. Don't use it anymore. In stead, give every computer a network card. Buy a router and hub, connect the router to your DSL line and to the hub. Connect every computer to the hub. Now you can access the Internet like you were used to, but in stead of only one person being able to connect, you can share the connection between multiple PCs.

You'll need to speak to the suppliers of your PBX system. You may also like to know of the free, open source PBX - Asterisk.

It even has great VOIP! :)
