Why is it that NO Republican can or will admit when they are wrong?

This is so funny to me because I am bipartisan and I have come to realize that when A democrat is in office and things are going good they don't get any support from their republican counterpart.
But when the Republican mess up the Government so bad and still can't admit that their is at least something wrong its sad and shameful to be apart of. I feel like more things get done when both parties share in a form of government that don't cause gridlock. Democrat or Republican, Republican or Democrat it shouldn't matter because it should be ALL about AMERICANS. What do you think?

Because they are supported staunchly by the religious right and the religious right won't admit it when they are wrong. Apple never falls far from the tree.

When they mess up, they will admit it. So far, that hasn't happened. Other than say, Mr. Cheney's hunting trip. But then, he at least didn't repeatedly lie under oath.

NOBODY admits mistakes, it's always someone else's fault. It's not limited to party affiliation and it's not limited to politics.

You are delusional. Republicans are not obstructionists. Democrats are. I don't know what mess up your are referring to . The tax cuts not only gave us back our money and revived a failing economy, they also gave us record revenue from taxes. We took out a dictator who bragged about WMDs and even had a cabinet position by that name who had refused to comply 17 times with resolutions. There have been no terrorist attacks on our soil. So now what is your problem?

Republicans are the minority party--in fact they have always been. The only way for a minority party to gain and hold control is through polarizing the country, 'exciting their base' and getting them to the polls in large numbers. This is why President Bush, from his first day in office, has done things to polarize the country, to piss off Democrats and liberals, to throw red meat to the red states.

Democrats always try to bring the country together, to seek consensus and compromise. Clinton spent 8 years doing this, trying to get the parties to go along on shared goals. But the Republicans knew it was not in their interests to cooperate with him, even on things that -they- wanted, like NAFTA. Once they got hold of Congress, they spent the entire time making up false accusations against Clinton and investigating them, trying to embarrass him.

Republicans work more on the idea that they're not wrong until they admit they're wrong. That's why they never admit they're wrong. Our economy is teetering on the brink of a serious recession now. Our deficits are so out of control that our money is losing its value. The Republicans' idea is to keep it going just until after the election, then it will collapse like a house of cards, and they'll blame the next president.

This is exactly what happened in the 1970s. We had a wave of double-digit inflation because of (1) a huge debt from a long, unproductive war and (2) a sudden doubling in the price of gas, which raised the price of everything shipped by truck, which in the US is just about -everything-. It started during Nixon's terms, but Republicans blame it on Carter. When it happens next, Republican leaders, Christian ministers, and talk-radio pundits will blame it on President Obama or President Hillary, for years and years until it gets ingrained in the culture like Carter's 'failure'. They will never admit it's their fault.

I think you are wrong. When Dems are in power the governments power grows. They raise taxes in order to pay for social programs to help the lazy masses who vote for them. The United States only thrives when the leaches are cut from the wound. They want to redistribute wealth,or create envy of the rich. The rich provide the jobs. Try and get a job from a poor person. the rich control 18 % of the money but pay almost all of the taxes. You never did say what the Republicans did wrong. So how can they admit it?

dude,it is a pipe dream ! bipartisan means one side has fooled the other side doing things their way.your right it should be about the country, not only the party.so you need to pick the party that has the best interests of the country in mind.it is all about control and power and you will always have party conflict.
