If you could vote to leave the position of president empty would you?

I feel that none of these candidates live up to my standards for president. Hillary, Obama, Rudy, and Mitt do not share my values, and I do not find one of them to be fit for office. We have a congress that could act for 4 years, and I believe that it would be a statement to both parties that we will not take their crap anymore. I'd say we should vote a third party candidate, but they've all been hijacked by nazis and communists.

The idea is interesting, and it reminds me of the Russians, who can vote "against all of the above", and if that options wins, no party wins and new parties have to be formed.

The problem I see here is: do you think any of the two parties really cares about you/us "not taking their crap anymore"? Do you think they did not notice before, and they somehow will open their eyes and say "aw, bother, now we realize the people are not happy with this system, and thus we both are going to change now".

My question: Can the people do something effective about it? If not, why should politicians care about your/our "statements"?

It's kind of like the statements of the UN: governments don麓t care much about them, as they are not really effective...

Unfortunately our system of government doesn't work without a president. Maybe you can start working on a grass-roots level to develop candidates that you feel better about. Chances are others will agree with you.

I'd get rid of the congress, they don't do a damn thing and they chase the interns......sickening

The President is supposed to be the top administrator, and to 'leave the office empty would cause serious dislocations in our system.

Nobody to run the nitty-gritty of government, legally, if no President. It will NOT just run on its own inertia for years.

It would be equivalent to trying to run a big company with no CEO; no policies get set, there is no accountability to a top individual, etc.

And Congress would be tied up trying to make the laws and enforce them also...much likelihood of favoritism, no checks and balances so bad laws would be allowed to run wild, etc.

It would be a catastrophe of epic proportions, to have nobody whom the buck stops at, and nobody to organize things, nobody to meet with other country's top men, nobody responsible to see to it the laws Congress passes are enforced, obeyed, and proper controls put on them to avoid hurting people. tho the latter is not always successful anymore.

The Founding Fathers set up the system so there are checks and balances, and we would remove those at grave risk to the operation of our country. And from a business standpoint, it would simply not work.

Be better to do without a Congress! And stop changing the laws to favor special interest groups and fighting with the President to get these groups properly satisfied!!

And not all the 3rd party candidates are communists or Nazis...check VERY carefully!

With NO president, we'd be better off than with what we have now.

But HILLARY will be a FINE President! And she has my vote for SURE in the vitally-important IOWA Caucuses.

Yeah and if nobody won the two parties would have to be disbanded.

Heck, while we're at it lets disband every political party every eight years, just for shits and giggles. Then if the Republicrats and Democrans can't get re-elected screw them.

Or vote for Ron Paul. What we need isn't NO leadership, what we need is PRINCIPLED leadership. Then none.

Ron Paul is the only one ill vote for out of the Dem's and reps

and if he doesn't get the nomination i will vote 3rd party for president. and i vote 3rd party where i can.
