I recently asked a question about being overworked?

And I got some really good answers.. here's my follow up.. I recently sat down with my boss & informed her that I was feeling extremely overwhelmed / burnt out and I was wondering if she could share the work load.. to my surprise, now she's being extremely rude & mean to me.. My question is..should I just call it a day & start looking for another job? I really love what I do & I just asked her quite nicely to share the work load because I was getting really burnt out..I do this job on the weekends also & I often take work home with me.. She's been giving me her work to do on top of mine & often gets angry if I don't finish it in time..hence the reason why I'm often still in the office at 7 at nite... I didn't realize she would take it to the next level & get so upset about it..she's starting to treat me like I have some type of disease or something & it's really starting to bother me.. should I just start looking for employment elsewhere?? Thanks again for your responses..

Yes. If your boss isn't treating you with respect and she is making demands you can't meet this job isn't for you. Try to look for other jobs but don't quit your job before you have another one lined up. That way you don't lose anything.

Do you really need to ask?

I don't like to say this, but her attitude towards you may be in order to upset you enough that you will leave of your own accord. There is likely a reason she wants to get rid of you. I have seen similar things happen in other companies where I've worked and it's not very nice to see.
You really don't want to stay in a place where you're always stressed out, so start looking for something else. Make sure that you have one or two other good influential managers or colleagues in case you need a reference.
