Is America still a very segregated and biased country?

Over the past decade of my career, I have seen the same thing every new work station I went to: there you have the white click, the black click, the Hispanic click, and the click of office rumors and office politics...and all of these "clicks" contribute to a not-so-positive working atmosphere. And it always tells me, as a nation, we are still very segregated. Can everyone share their own working experience in this regard.

I see that same thing everyday in High School.
People are seperated by race usually, but ocasionally, like said, there will be groups made up by people that gossip, and yadda yadda.

The Mexicans moved in and run the Blacks to another neighborhood .

i don't think that my work has the click thing going on too much. Everyone works really well with everyone and you don't see just one group of hispanics sitting at the lunch table or a group of whites, it is all mixed. But for some reason I have always gotten the feeling that if it came down to it, everyone would choose their own. If you know what I mean...like if they were forced to take sides.

I don't think so. In fact, I think the country has come a long way towards intergration. I'm sure there are hold out areas but all in all the rural areas are very relaxed. Perhaps in urban areas you'll find the cliques you refer to but I think that would hold true no matter where you go in the world.
