Direct debit with bt broadband?

hi i have ordered bt total broadband and gone threw all the details and it has said my order has been accepted.a new page has come up telling me to set up payments with direct debit do i have to set it up on direct debit or wil bt just add the monthley charge to my giro bill each quarter.i have no problem with direct debit its just i am sharing the bill with a housemate and woul be easyer if we payed in the post office thanks.

No it should just get added on to your bill.
Are you sure the page isn't asking you if you would like to do it by direct debit?
Just wait till your next bill and see what happens. Phone bt if your really unsure.

It has to derect debit, its mandatory.

contact bt and ask,sometimes you have to pay more if you are not dd

if its from your bank account would try and avoid D.D. as you are sharing with a housemate.You have more control paying with giro slip, as D.D. deducts the balance, which will be different each bill, if you dont have enough money in your account you will incur a charge.

I Have BT Broadband and pay my phone and Internet quarterly, you can set up a monthly direct debit, which ever is the best for you, The first quarterly bill will have a advance payment for your Internet, which is normal. Don't worry BT always charge rental in advance like the telephone line. If you pay quarterly you will in cure a extra 拢1 per quarter
P.S I have used other Internet providers and found BT the best all rounder
