I finally got the famous email. Should I mess with them??

Here's the email:

I am Paul Hanley, manager with one of the private Banks here in South
Africa; I am also the account manager to an Australian businessperson
based in South Africa by name Mr. Haddock Brads who died through fatal
road accident in year 2005. I am writing to solicit your cooperation in
transfer of funds left in Mr. Haddock?s account in amount of USD14.5M
for disbursement amongst us and investment in your country.

If interested in my offer do furnish me on (paulhanleyza@hotmail.com)
with the following so that I can effect necessary changes in our system
whereby your name shall appear as the next of kin to the deceased: Your
name in full, office or residential address, contact no Tel & fax,
proof of identification e.g. driver license. Note that your share for
participating on this exercise will be 30% of the total sum transferred to
your account.

This is a well known scam. The FBI page has it listed. There is very little you can do because answering them just targets you for more unwanted stuff as well as the potentially harmful stuff as well. You can report this as spam to your internet provider, but if they cancel the hotmail account and these people have several more and can open even more to continue spamming and conning those who are unwise enough to tangle with them.

Always abide by the rule that no one gives away anything for free.

Call dingy harry and ask him what to do. Maybe he will want to tax you.

It's fun to read some of the threads.

There is no way to stick it to them, there are too many and they are all scams. Just "spam" the e-mail and ignore it. Don't try to play along, they can get more info from your return answer than you might think, and I've heard some of these scamers can be real MEAN.

or send him/her fake info, play with him, have fun, you will keep him entertained and when he finds out he will get mad at you and will send you death threats. but don't worry you sent fake info so he doesn't know exactly where you live unless you really send your real information.

Like the other guy said: Never answer back even if you where going to play a joke on them . They can get tons of information from you on your return e-mail to them . just spam them ,
