Do Americans really believe they are liberators instead of invaders?(I鈥檓 Iraqi)?

Do they believe the puppet government they made is really elected by us! Don鈥檛 they know that all the members of the government were ex-pats in USA and UK and don鈥檛 have a home or an office outside the American Embassy where they live permanently? Don鈥檛 the Americans know that they鈥檝e been killing civilians repeatedly and methodically in every part in Iraq? Don鈥檛 they know that what their media call 鈥漣nsurgency鈥?is a resistance against their occupation which every Iraqi shares in? Don鈥檛 they realize that we want them OUT NOW? That a 鈥榙emocracy鈥?or 鈥榣iberation鈥?is the pretext used by all previous colonial powers to invade the third word? Don鈥檛 American鈥檚 know that despite our resistance and sabotage to the oil installations and refusal with American companies and british companies like Halliburton the USA would鈥檝e stolen our oil to finance its campaign of world dominion? Do they really believe that we are fighting each other (shiaa against sunna) ?.....

DO they have any doubt that we will fight to liberate our country generation after generation even if it takes a century or to do so? Don鈥檛 they realize that death is better than being colonized? Isn鈥檛 that what their country was based on on day: freedom? Or did they forget and have to learn that lesson again ?

I am not American but it seems to me the Americans believe they have the right to do pretty much whatever they please

I can't speak for all americans, but I certainly don't think of us as liberators right now! I think we have no business with the war in Iraq and that we never have had.

Don't the Iraqi's realize that 50% of the U.S. did NOT vote for Bush or his ideals and that The U.S. Government DOES NOT speak for those people? Even now, 25% of the people who did vote for him want us out of Iraq.

Do you really believe that Saddam killing millions of Iraqis was better?

Well in the heart of hearts everyone including the US knows that they are invaders but then again it was necessary to rid Iraq of Saddam Hussein who was just a cruel,treacherous and barbaric dictator and had to be stopped before he commited more murders.

Americans know that the Bush Administration planed the war in Iraq long before 9-11-2001, they know he lied, Cheney lied, all his administration have lied and cheated Americans out of treasure and they have sacrificed the lives of our military for personal religious ideology. Bush has told so many stories about why we went into Iraq, he doesn't even know any more, lies beget lies, beget more lies. Very sad for America, Iraq, our military and the world.

Many of us are against the war in Iraq. We don't want our family members over there getting killed anymore than you want us there. I think we should all go home and the Iraqis can either work things out like human beings or keep killing each other. That's been going on for years before the US even came over. You seem like nice people, but the insurgents (Zarqowi ) are nothing but barbaric. I hope the good people of Iraq win.

Fighting only breeds more fighting; It never results in peace. Every war represents a failure for all mankind because we have the ability to solve our problems without having to kill each other. I don't care what God or Creative Force you believe in, chances are that your religion teaches that peace is superior to hatred. War only seems inevitable to those who think it can be inevitable. In wars, it is usually the civilians who don't want war that get killed. No word--not "democracy" or "liberation" or any other--is worth taking the lives of people who only want to live their lives in peace.

This war had nothing to do with democracy, freedom, WMDs, or even Saddam, bin Laden, or terrorism!!!!

This war was about promoting and carrying out a political agenda. It's about oil, power and ultimately, control.

Saddam Hussein is said to have killed around 300,000 people in his 24 years as president.

So far 30,000+ have died in 3 years as a result of this war.

Ok I have read all the answers for far and most do not have a clue to what is going one over there. Must less do they say how they do not agree with there country on this. It is very sad.
Now for you.
Today you have a chance to make your country great. You can build it to what you want it to be. If you choose living under a killer and have your family die because of someone whim then go for it.
But today the killing of Iraq people is done by others called resistance fighters not Americans. They kill anyone with no mercy at all just to show they can do it.
If this is what you want then you need to live in it from now on. We tryed to give you a path out of the hell hole you were in.
You do not have to worry about americans killing you today the news people would really have a field day with that.
So take what you have and work with it and stop blaming us for where you are today your former leader did that for you.
I have very little sympathy for you right now but I believe you have a right to choose how you want to live so do it.

I think most Americans are aware of the deceit that Bush and his henchmen perpetrated, but the media does not report it so it appears differently.

I know that most Iraqis are fighting against America and the so-called Iraqi government because it makes absolutely no sense that they invaded to remove Saddam several years ago, that was done and they are STILL in your country fighting.

Why? Who are they fighting if Saddam is gone?. Some Americans cannot analyze this without the media (or Bush)directing them to do it.

As far as their reasons to get rid of Saddam, it seems the country was better with him. At least there was some kind of order, now there is none. And now the oil does not belong to Iraqis anymore. America thinks its better if they kill thousands than if Saddam does it. That makes no sense to me either.

I enlisted in the Marines (in 1968) rather than be drafted. I have been a flag waving American for well over half a century. Do I believe America is a liberator? Sadly, No. We did not "Liberate" the Vietnamese. We did not "Liberate" the Panamanians. And we will not "Liberate" the Iraqis. As a proud American I would like to apologize for the gross misconduct of our political leaders, and beg your forgiveness

America will eventually leave your country but your so called "puppet government" is going to be hell of a lot better than Saddam or any other person you guys would place in power. You think the Iraqi's would actually have a say in their own government if the U.S. and coalition forces left Iraq? Think again. You may not like it but leaving Iraq to the Iraqi people at this point in time will end up hurting you guys more than it would if the U.S. and coalition forces stayed there until the country stabalizes. Unless you want another person like Saddam to rise to power.

We will kick the butts of any piss ant backward country that has true invasion and despotism as its agenda.You are most likely Sunni if you are Iraqi at all.They are the only ones that are really fighting,and they kill mostly other Iraqis.If we wanted your country you would not still be able to say you had one.We will not leave until a functioning government is in place and able to deal with those like you.But we will leave.The sooner you people get together and start building a non dictatorial country the sooner we will leave.So it is really all up to you.

1) I don't believe that you're Iraqi.
2) The majority of Americans don't like Bush or his policies.
3) Some of us are smart enough to realize that forced democracy is an oxymoron.
