Annoying co-workers, anyone?

So, this woman in my office is driving me crazy. Whenever someone is busy and can't answer their phone, I answer. Well today, not once but twice, the phone has rang for someone who is busy and before i can even move another woman says, "You might want to get that!" Well, duh, I've only been doing that for the past four years. Share your story

I have a co-worker who, even though he was born and raised in Illinois, in the St. Louis metropolitian area, has a southern accent. In addition to this annoying accent, he cannot speak proper english. Some of the words he comes up with sometimes makes me want to bust out laughing. He literally sounds like Blue Collar TV except they're doing it to be funny and he's doing it because he's a freaking idiot. He is constantly on the phone calling various creditors to make payment arrangements and to lie about why a payment hasn't made it, etc. And when he's on the phone, he mumbles. Mumbling, southern, non-english. DRIVES ME INSANE. He has to repeat the things he says sometimes four and five times to be understood by whoever on the phone. His wife is an idiotic shrew and I have to listen to him constantly saying in his sniveling voice, "But Misty" "Don't be like that Misty" "I didn't say that Misty". It's disgusting. In addition to all the creditor calls, he has to make phone calls for his wife. She can't do anything. She was out of work for several days because she was sick but never bothered to call her boss and so she was basically fired. A couple of weeks later, her husband, my cube neighbor, had to call her boss to apologize for Misty for not calling in. He actually says to this boss that "Misty is really sorry for not calling you. She's just not real good with being able to talk on the phone about things" What? And if he's not on the phone, he's got to be talking, or trying to talk, to his neighbors. I ignore him. He will ask the most inane, ridiculous questions. He's just talking to hear himself talk. Ugh! Some days I want to jump over the cube wall and shove the phone or a wad of papers done his throat. Aside from that you have his EXTREME laziness. He showers once, maybe twice, a week. He's too lazy to shave so instead he's acting like he's trying to grow a beard or something. The only problem with that is that the only place where hair grows is on like two separate patches on his second chin. It's disgusting. He's disgusting. His wife is disgusting. I've actually consider looking for another job just because I can't stand listenting to him and looking at him.

Stop doing it, they don't really appreciate it.

Every workplace has people that drive them crazy.

In our office, we have people that don't want you talking to other people at your desk as this is disturbing to them and they will ask you to quiet down. But when they are talking and laughing with someone at their desk or on the phone, well that is a different story. GRRRRRR

put youself busy with your work.why are you tempting to answer the phone calls? you might be expecting some calls for you.

Oh my, I have enough stories from my circus workplace to start my own website. The bottom line is that people aren't going to change. Just keep your chin up and do one hour of "resume therapy" daily (update your resume and look for jobs, network with people). You will feel more proactive, and when the right job comes along you will be ready...and hopefully less taken for granted.

Oooooh, there's someone in my office like that. It seems his mission is to make life miserable. He turns everything I do into a song. If I come back late from work, its the next effing joke!!, if i do well and get an award, he turns it into the next laughable thing!! He really gets on my nerves, but does it in a way that everyone else thinks its a joke!! Hopefully he wouldnt be there for long cos i love my job and intend to stay!!

My annoying coworker is recently divorced. She has a mouth worse than a sailor. She gripes all day long. Talks about she needs to get laid and the vendors that are male come in to my office to get away from her propositions. She brings her kids to work to let them download games to my computer

not really annoying co workers i work in retail so its more annoying customers yell at me if i dont put their items in bags correctly and they will have a fit and i just want to slap them so badly

Her life must be tough having to tell everyone their job. I would let her phone ring!
