Is he just a wannabee cowboy or an urban cowboy?

George Bush the Texan is 'scared of horses'

President Bush may like to be seen as a swaggering tough guy with a penchant for manly outdoor pursuits, but in a new book one of his closest allies has said he is afraid of horses.

George W Bush saddles up,
but where is the horse?

Vicente Fox, the former president of Mexico, derided his political friend as a "windshield cowboy" 鈥?a cowboy who prefers to drive 鈥?and "the cockiest guy I have ever met in my life".

He recalled a meeting in Mexico shortly after both men had been elected when Mr Fox offered Mr Bush a ride on a "big palomino" horse.

Mr Fox, who left office in December, recalled Mr Bush "backing away" from the animal.

''A horse lover can always tell when others don't share our passion," he said, according to the Washington Post.

Mr Bush has spoken of his fondness for shooting doves and cutting brush on his Crawford ranch in Texas, which he bought in 1999.

He is & always has been a poser. We went to school in the NE, you thnk he would be smarter, but no, he is just a hick who can't speak to save his life.
Shooting doves...does anyone else see the symbolism in that??

And your point is moron....

wannabee

Would that be the same Vicente Fox who's firmly in the pocket of the Mexican Drug Cartels? Yeah, I'd highly value his opinions.

Right, the cowboy who was educated in New England. President George Bush, comic book cowboy!

he's a displaced cowboy. I know a lot of people who breathe easier when he stays on his ranch.

Bush was not born in Texas and Fox is a two-faced opportunist. So what if Bush backed away from a 2500 lb animal.

He is a wannabee, urban, dumb-***, cowboy.
That wouldn't really qualify him for being much of a cow or a boy, however.

What does that have to do with anything? It seems quite a stretch to use his dislike of horses to attack him. A lot of people don't like horses. It is a petty insult that is intended to demean and attack him personally.

I myself don't like horses, except to bet on or in a nice fatty gravy over rice.

That palomino had cash in one saddle bag and heroin in the other!

If you mean is he a cowboy in the same way that useless, money grabbing, half-arsed, incompetent plumber I just fired was- Then Hell yeah.

Is he a noble man of the ranch who's prowess in the saddle is only matched by his bean cookin, coffee boilin' camp skills. No he's a fool.

I have people in my family that raise horses and ALL of them are some what cautious when it comes to these huge animals. They're big enough and strong enough to crush you... You're a real bright fellow.

I'm afraid of horses but, no man.

I rode a horse once.
I had to throw those jeans away.
Never could get the stink out.
