If you have an ISP that gives u 10 IP addresses, would you have each pc using diff IP or would u use a router?

I mean, my DSL ISP Assigns me up to 10 IP Addresses, I have about 8 computers$ in my office network but I do want to protect it somehow with a router. My question is, would it be faster but less safer if each pc connects directly to the ISP with a different IP rather than using only one IP Address with a network router and sharing that bandwitdth from that only IP (which should be the same as the total of the bandwitdths of all the IPs) with al the other pcs???

You can't go wrong with a router. They are needed for several reasons. Buy one and put you computers on it, you might have to also buy a switch or a hub, depending on what you prefer. But for safety reasons alone get a router and setup a firewall!

Using 1 IP or the 10 IPs likely won't change your bandwidth, unless your ISP throttles the bandwidth per assigned IP (highly unlikely). Basically you have 1 pipe from your ISP, how many IPs are being used isn't likely a factor on your bandwidth assignment. Use your router and it's firewall if it has a built in one, if not, run firewall software locally on your machines or configure the windows one.
