Asked a Psychic About 2008 and He Said..?

Just this past weekend, while visiting friends out of state I visited an acclaimed Psychic.. Not your typical robe and head-dress, read my palm, B/S type of thing.

This guy was in an impressive office, with hundreds of credentials.. It was quite cool. And EXPENSIVE.

At any rate: I asked him simply to predict the full tickets and outcome of the 2008 Election -- I wanted to share with you all and see what you all thought:

His Predictions are as follows: (He said these things, I am paraphrasing mostly)

"The Republicans, irrespective of their fear of putting "another Bush" on the pedestal will nominate a very right-wing, very conservative candidate: Fred Thompson. He will run with former NY mayor Rudolph Giuliani.."

"Hillary Clinton will fall, quite similar to Dick Gephardt and Howard Dean last time around, the Democrats will eventually nominate, surprisingly to some: John Edwards."

"Edwards will run with the much experienced Joseph Biden of Connecticut.."

Prediction of Outcome....

His Final Prediction:

"Fred Thompson will appear the winner until a late surge by Edwards/Biden in which they will un-expectedly capture the state of Ohio, and lastly narrowly emerge victorious in California.."

"Edwards is the president, victorious 271-267"

I just thought that this was cool -- I did the best I could to re-inact my experience through memory..

Theres never any real way to trust that kind of stuff until it can be proven true, so dont get excited just yet.

That's easy.....

Fred and Rudy will win. Edwards is a hypocrite and Biden is on the left fringe. They will advocate raising taxes and that will be their downfall.

I predict that the psychic is wrong about the candidates.

That would be wonderful actually. Edwards is my candidate of choice, he is a remarkable human being. He really deserves a shot to "Turn the country" around.

That was a quite entertaining story... although it's a bit expensive for entertainment...

On the other hand, I'm glad Both Hillary and Rudy lost in your psychic's story.

Besides being a Ron Paul fan myself, I don't mind Edwards at all, as a matter of fact, I supported Kerry and Edwards last time. So, it's not such a bad story afterall.

If that becomes true, it will be very scary. But it does make sense since Clinton is really polarizing and Thompson now seems the Reagan of the new century. It does make sense that Biden and Giuliani will be VP on their respective parties. If it comes true, you'll have to give me the number of the psychic!

Honestly, it鈥檚 probably feasible for both of those tickets. I think Giuliani will not be nearly as effective in delivering states such as MN, WI, PA, or IA (but could deliver FL) in the vice presidential candidate role as opposed to the head of the ticket. Thompson will be able to hold some vulnerable states in the South and WV though.

Edwards is an established politician without the high negatives of Clinton and inexperience of Obama. Biden adds foreign policy credibility to the ticket as head of the Senate Armed Forces Committee.

This race will come down to four key states: WI, OH, IN, and IA. The economy and jobs will be as big of an issue this election cycle as it was in 2004. Labor will reemerge as a dominant pillar of the Democratic Party and exert its influence by delivering Edwards the presidency with his proven labor ties.
