How can you still give you undying support to Bush? |
While I don't agree with these beliefs, I understand why some would support Bush's policies on the war, economics and his faith based decisions. I do not agree with these decisions but I do see how those who share his beliefs and values would agree. Thanks for the special mention of me in the question. Katrina wasnt bush's fault. Last time I check he didnt have power over the weather. If he does, I could have done without the snow last week. I dont see anyone going on and on about the appointment of Robert Kennedy to attorney general. Mistakes are made. However one should also keep in mind that the Mayor and Governor were both Democrats and both failed to call in the national guard. As for his "faith based" decisions, pehaps we give him our support because the majority of U.S. citizens believe in those decisions. Most of us arent in favor of the abomination known as gay marriage and many oppose the systimatic murder of unborn children by claiming its a constitutional right. All one needs to do is look at a map of the 2004 Presidental election and the fact that many states passed marriage laws and/or amendments in that election to see how the majority of us feel. Katrina wasnt Bush's fault. The government could have acted more quickly but when you have a BIG government you are asking for problems. We need to learn to take care of ourselves, get out when there is a mandatory evacuation (even if that means walking) and dont trust government to take care of us. I dont think it mattered who was President at the time, we were destined to fail. A president is only as good as the people that surround you. In Bushe's case he has picked some real dingers. Right wingers can't see that because they are blind to pure facts. Bush has been accused of cronyism, well he is guilty of that, he sure didn't pick the best people for the job. Bush is a quack. One of the worst we have ever had in my opinion and I thought this before he was elected. I didnt vote for him. You cant blame him alone for what happens to our country sometimes. Like Katrina. What happened in the end was partially Bush's fault, but the imidiate blame lies with the local government. I am just glad that he cant get back in after this term is over! I hate his - ways. It feels like we elected a preacher, not a president. This country is not a theocracy! Because, like Bush, the people who voted for him are incapable of acknowledging their own mistakes. |
