How many of you are about to walk out of your current job? |
Yes, I am in need of a different prospective right now...but until it arrives I thought I could let out some steam and possibly hear about other fellow work time woes. I have been working for a small financial company for over 2 1/2 years, I started out doing small stuff then 6 months later I was promoted. Then after a year the company started to grow! It was great! Then the boss found a hot chicky hired her and slept with her as well....then most if not all accept for me have left the company!!!! He shows no care about what is going on around him or to his company since yes you guessed it...she wears the pants in this office! Not too mention she has about 10% working knowledge and 90% drug, bi loving & bi polar issues! She is crazy! Now she is my manager and I have to report to her. Ok, I could go on forever...so share your work time trama stories! Let's see... where to begin. Worked for a company I liked for about 6 years. The place had its share of wierdos, ignorant bosses, and strange people, but over all, the place was good. Then the company started to have some financial touble, mainly because of bad decisions of the ignorant bosses. Then, layoffs started, and then everyone was really crazy, because the managers set unrealistic deadlines, and we were working LOTS of overtime, and I'm salary, so no OT. We got fussed at b/c we didn't work at home the entire weekend that was a holiday weekend. (We all worked some, but when family is outside having a bbq, it's hard to concentrate on work!) Then more layoffs, because of deadlines missed, and then worse deadlines, etc. Viscous cycle continues. Wouldn't have made it if I didn't have some really great friends that I worked with. Well after another round of layoffs, the company was sold, and then I was out of a job. All that overtime and hard work, and it was pretty much blown away by the new firm when they came in. hell no boss thinks hes funny, but he is annoying, all that need to be said. Yes, this company has gone down hill too since the new president arrived. We were hoping for some major change with him and all it turned out to be was new faces, same sh**. I'm looking for something new myself. Something more rewarding. No trauma involved, but last year I worked as a cook at Waffle House. It sucked a** so I walked out when the place was full and I didn't feel like cooking for a full restaurant, by myself, for just a little more than minimum wage. The free food was great though. |
