Career advice: Over the past few months I've been searching for a new job.?

So far no luck, I am caring for my dad and have students loans and other personals expenditures that I need to payoff. SInce I had no luck finding a job with the flexiability that I need, I thought I would work as an independent contractor(partime/ lite book keeping, general office work). My question is where do I start? How much do I charge for my services? I was thinking about placing an ad on craigs list however, heard not so good things about them.

I not interested in any online scams to make money. Also, I would like to add I have a AA in Business Admin and over 10 years exp in my field. However there is no flexiability.

Craigslist would be a good start to get odd jobs here and there. Depending on where you live, going door to door asking people if they need work done is another alternative. I would start with an easier job that gets you money quick like serving, and that will buy you more time to find something more suitable to you.

My Best,
