Ordained Minister for wedding?

My friend is due to get married in July and wanted me to marry him and his fiance so I got ordained by the universal life church. ( no bashing please )

In Missouri do you have to go to the clerks office to present the ordainment or just do the service?

Also what else can I do as an ordained minister ( besides church services as I am a listener not a speaker )

I would be care full with an Ordination by Universal Life Church. I know of several people who tried conducting religious ceremonies with that and they got arrested. Yes in a sense you are ordained but most states don't consider it legal.

An ordained Minister can baptize, marry and start a church.

My dad just performed the service and signed the papers no harm no foul... except for the pending divorce... oops! Seriously though, you should be able to just sign the wedding certificate and go. If it's ever questioned, then you present your certificate.

Call your county courthouse and ask your question there.

They may need a copy of your ordination on file, in order for you to legally perform marriages in your state/county/area.
