Anyone else tired of Comcast? |
Our cable went out half an hour ago. No big deal, right? I'll just call one of Comcast's support centers. After all, the website says that they are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Yeah, bull. All I get when I call is a robot telling me that their offices are closed. No hours, no "Sorry for the inconvenience", nothing. So, I call the local office. They're closed, too. Comcast just took over Insight's service in Illinois and they're not giving us any good reason to stay with them. We had no problems with Insight. Now, less than 2 months after the takeover, I've had the cable go out twice, leading to rude, if even reachable, customer service agents. Kind of makes you wonder why satellite is becoming more and more popular, doesn't it? Amen brother. Comcast just took over Time Warner in our area about a year ago, and their service has gone to the dumps. I've been through about 4 or 5 cable boxes, all of them are so slow. It's almost impossible to browse through the OnDemand movies without loosing your patience and throwing the remote at the TV. Internet is slower than Time Warner, Cable TV blows, and their service is pathetic. I am absolutely sick of Comcast. I'd switch to DirecTV, but it's actually more expensive. I suppose after a few more months of putting up with Comcast's incompetence, I'll have no choice. Comcast should have a toll free number that you can reach for repair of your cable, find out what that number is and program it into you phone. You might have to go through some guide to lead you to a customer service representative, but the are required by FCC law they are to assist if any problem arrises. |
