You're paying for a brand. Alienware machines are great... but at the same time they position themselves as the best... which is true because of the components that they use.

You can usually find computers with similar if not better parts for much cheaper. Check out Best Buy, Future Shop or any other retailer.

Good choice with AMD Processors. They are much faster then Intel.

Way overpriced. You can buy the exact same parts from Newegg (including a copy of Vista Ultimate) and put it all together yourself for less than a thousand.

It sounds pretty darn good for 1,280 and your a programmer and grahpic designer. I would try looking around though.

computer looks great but its over priced you could probably make the same pc urself and have more gb more ram and a better gpu<graphics card newegg.com

You overpaid - if it has "alienware" in the name you overpaid, there are far better machines for cheaper.
