How can I change my career? |
I'm a single mother of two desperately wanting something different. I'm interested in anything in the clerical field. My real goal is to become a Paralegal. I was a Criminial Justice major for 2 yrs before I had to drop out and have spent the last 6 yrs in food service(various jobs). Before that it was retail. I have also taken various classes in Microsoft Office and Admin. Asst. training, but can't seem to get my foot in the door. What should I do now? Since considerable time of about 8 years has been spent in areas which you do not relish,please complete a paralegal course and plunge into that field without wasting any further time !! Register with a temp agency and accept any and all assignments you are offered. Temp agencies may offer skills training too. And by getting out in the field you will make some contacts and gain possible references. |
