Can you join the air force or any armed service with an open court case in another country?

my recruiter, and her district head said i can and not to mention it, taht court cases out side of the us do not matter unless it's murder or something. is this true?

i have asked several times for a waiver and gone to TWO offices and talked to the head and am now in DEP. anyone who is acutally involved in the enlistment procedures.

you might want to check my other question, i am in DEP for the air force, I was an exchange student in london and got arrested while drunk, had to leave before my court date! now it's open and i have a warrent in the uk.

I wouldn't be too concerned about your case. You were honest and told your recruiters and that is enough.

The statute of limitations would eventually expire and it would then become a complete non-issue. You were not found guilty of any criminal activity. You never have to report on any security background form that you were ever found guilty, since you never were.

I just wouldn't ask to be stationed in Great Britain if I were you.

Good luck and thank you for serving our great nation.

i had 1500 in warrants for my arrest out of Dallas Texas when i enlisted for various un-paid traffic tickets. I'm a Sergeant now in the Army. Just be honest with your recruiter and they will do anything they can to get you enlisted.
