Best candidate for the admin asst position...?

This person must have the following qualifications:
Type 60wpm, excellent communication skills, customer service oriented, team player, detail oriented/highly organized, multi-task in a fast paced environment, proficient in MS Office, bachelors degree or 5 years min related experience.
Candidate A:
Assoc. degree in drafting, 3 yrs exp admin asst, 5 yrs drafter, intermed MS Office skills, 50wpm, highly organized, excellent communication skills, very computer savvy.
Candidate B:
Bachelors degree, no prior admin exp, 2yrs exp in sales, intermed MS Office skills, 70wpm, organized, excellent communication skills, "go getter" attitude, somewhat computer savvy.
Candidate C:
GED, 7 yrs admin exp, 100 wpm, adv MS Office skills, very computer savvy, "go getter" attitude, sales/retail exp in fast paced environment, detail oriented
My boss & I like "C", but others who impact the decision (but don't make it) don't want to hire someone who has zero college education.
Who should get hired & why?

Your answers will help provide ammunition against the naysayers...those who don't like "C".

C...ad said bachelors degree or 5 years min. related experience.....candidate C has it!
Candidate A does not have the qualifications...no BA, and only 3 years exp. admin assist.
Candidate B has a BA, but not having any prior experience, and only somewhat computer savy is a disadvantage.

Definately C

Candidate A: Not qualified. No BA degree & not enough experience. Typing speed not up to par, 50wpm is considered too slow for secretarial type positions, at least this person is computer savvy.
Candidate B: Qualifed. Has BA degree, but no previous admin experience. Typing speed is good. hmm...somewhat computer savvy, well admins don't really need to be all that computer savvy to do their jobs.
Candidate C: Qualified. No degree but more than enough experience, excellent typing speed, advanced skills in MS Office are always a definite plus, and so is being very computer savvy.
FYI, in case you didn't realize it...When someone says "very computer savvy" that tells me this person is competent at troubleshooting and fixing PC software and hardware issues. A very good thing if your company doesn't have an official IT department and wants to save money on computer repair expenses.

"A" is clearly not qualified, no degree and not enough experience. Also, typing speed is far too slow. I expect a decent admin to type no less than 80wpm.
"B" is qualified but lacks experience. Admin jobs don't necessarily need someone with previous experience nor do they have to be very computer literate.
"C" is also qualified but is a high school drop out and has no college degree. The typing speed and MS Office skillset are excellent.
"C" does seem like the best choice. ...but do you really want to hire an admin who didn't even bother to finish high school properly?? I wouldn't. ...so my choice is "B" and let another admin from a different department mentor him/her for a month or so till they get the hang of it.

C

I don't have a degree but I run an office with a dozen plumbers, do the full accounts without a bit of paper saying I can do them and I do all the wages.

Degrees aren't everything.
