Is it human nature to be rude to others?

I was at the vet's office today with my cat with others who were waiting for over an hour.
A woman ushered in with an expensive purse, sunglasses, etc., and started acting like a complete upper-class ***** to others in the office.
One lady sitting next to her accidently ran into her and her cat sitting in a tub ... the 'rude' woman said 'excuse you' and the lady who rescues animals completely apologized, but the other woman just rolled her eyes.
Because of her rudeness to others she was ushered right in with her cat that had, what the lady at the front desk said was allergies.
How is this right and why do inconsiderate and rude and ugly people like this get special treatment.
My cat was there for allergies too. Maybe I should usher in with a Coach purse and Chanel sunglasses to get prompt service instead of waiting two hours.

It's possible they saw her first to get her out of the waiting room and keep her from causing more problems. I don't actually do this myself, but I've been tempted to just get rid of problem customers so I don't have to deal with them for longer than I have to. =I It's cowardly, and it sucks, but I can sort of understand it, in a "damn that's frustrating" kind of way.

firstly, let's differentiate between rudeness and inconsiderateness.

rudeness is when you actively engage in offending people as if your point of view mattered more.

inconsiderateness is when you don't even acknowledge that other people are present; that is, they don't matter at all.

this woman was rude. Unfortunately, 50 years ago, she would have been shamed by those around her. Today, people turna blind eye and talk about it later, perhaps on a website such as YA.

The time to address it was when it was happening. Otherwise, by saying nothing, you're condoning such behavior.

alot of times the rude are ushered in just to get them out of the room so they don't have the chance to be even more rude but at the same time the rudeness can coincide with having money.Have the money-go to the front of the class-sad but true :O(
